📚 Bluewater District School Board's 2024-25 budget benefits from enrolment growth and higher school space utilization. The $277 million budget includes increased provincial grants, new staff hires, and plans for new schools in Dundalk and Kincardine. The board is also seeking land for future school projects in Saugeen Shores and Meaford.

💵 Saugeen Shores councillors approved an additional $50,000 for a six-month contract extension with Wellington Dupont, a grant-writing/government relations firm, to pursue funding for various projects. Despite the lack of significant success so far, the CAO believes the firm's advocacy and networking efforts will pay off in future grant applications.

🚔 Grey Bruce OPP had a busy weekend, charging four drivers for speeding, including one for stunt driving at 158 km/h in a 70 zone. They also charged an 18-year-old paddleboarder on Miller Lake for not having any floatation or lifesaving equipment as required by the Canadian Shipping Act.
